We live in a time where even casual ideas or a bit open-minded thoughts are considered to be Anti-Indian and Anti-Tamil, by a fringe few, and when thoughts and creative ideas are affected, the standard of thinking reduces. It has become a day to day happening to see \”ban this film\” and \”ban that film\” news because the very idea of \”Freedom to speech/ thoughts\” is being slowly erased away.
In such times, web series are a wonderful way of promoting your content without affecting the creativity and after bold \”As I\’m suffering from Kadhal\”, we have \”Livin\’ \” written and directed by Praburam Vyas and promoted by Madras Central, which is trending currently globally owing to its \”Paridhabangal\” video series.
In short, the web series is about a couple, Harish, and Haritha, who are in a live-in relationship (so, the name Livin\’) and their eccentric friend, Sam.
The trailer is decent and the performances of the three lead actors look natural. Kanna Ravi as Harish has a Will Smith kinda looks and Amrutha Srinivasan as Haritha has a no-nonsense charm to her and for sure, she will get a big fan following once the series is released. Naveen George Thomas is a familiar face of the lot and his performance shows his experience.
The trailer has a low-budget kinda look but, the story seems to have quite open-mindedness and maturity. We applaud Madras Central for promoting such content and we could actually see a lot of hate comments on youtube and we will that\’s because of lack of exposure to the world and narrow-mindedness.
We feel such content needs to be promoted to increase the open-mindedness and acceptance in people\’s mind for others ideas and lifestyles and we wish the whole team of Livin\’ to make a mark in people\’s minds the way \”Suffering From Kadhal\” did.
