One best trailer in recent times | Sathya (Tamil) | Sibi Sathyaraj | Currently Globally Trailers
A good trailer is like a time bomb. It makes your brain tick and makes you wait for the movie with great anticipation. However, only a few trailers are able to do that and Sathya trailer is one among such trailers.
A girl commits suicide, she calls her ex-boyfriend before her ill-fated decision and people speak about her daughter, few say she doesn\’t have one, few say she have one. Why she died? What\’s her daughter\’s story? This should form the crux of the story.
We have seen a similar story with Arivazhagan\’s Eeram but, Sathya seems to be an investigative/action thriller instead of being a horror thriller. Pradeep Krishnamoorthy, the Director and Goutham Ravichandran, the Editor have done an exceptional work in showing the elements of the story but, not revealing anything and they evoke surprise among the audience and if they play their cards right with the screenplay, this is a sure shot winner for Sibi Sathyaraj.
Sibi Sathyaraj has done a great makeover with a beard and it suits him perfectly and he looks suave and actually, the whole teaser looks suave and of great quality for the budget. Ramya Nambeesan seems to have a meaty role and she has good expressions that will definitely make us root for her character which seems to be mentally delusional or projected to be delusional. Varalaxmi looks to be playing a cop role and it actually suits her physique. Siddhartha Shankar of Saithan fame is said to be playing the character with negative shades and this man already made eyes turn with his role and look in Saithan and we expect more from him to fill the void of good villains in Tamil cinema.
BGM by Simon K King is good and goes with the flow and sets the mood the director wants to convey through the trailer.
Cinematography seems to be one another best element of the movie as certain shots have a Hollywood-like appearance and Arunmani Palani is a talent to watch for.
Overall, the trailer has evoked our interests and with a proper screenplay and good suspense, this movie might be the success Sibi Sathyaraj yearns for.
