Oscars 2017 – Best Picture – La La Land vs Moonlight Mistake
What was that? What was really that?
Did you guys really see that?
It was the time of year again. Oscars Time. The whole world is crazy about their best movies and them winning the award.
So, today the most coveted movie awards for Best Picture category had 9 nominations and people were damn sure that the winner is going to be their favorite romantic \”La La Land\” starring the uber cool Ryan Gosling and stunning Emma Stone.
When the Best Picture announcements arrived, people were glued to the screen looking for Emma Stone in gorgeous golden dress and her expressions when they announce it.
Warren Beaty arrived, opened the card and gave a funny expression and said the words \”La La Land\” and whole world went to a frenzy. Twitter Erupted and Facebook roared. La La La La Land.
And then, that happened.
They came back, they apologized and they said there was a mistake and said the winner is.. Wait for it.. \”Moonlight\”.
A movie on a Gay black youth growing up in Miami and getting into the crime life.
People were stunned. But then, what is an award function these days without all these twists and turns? 😉
