Ashwin Saravanan, who earlier directed the neo-noir movie \”Maya\” starring Nayanthara and Aari in lead is back with an exceptional romantic drama \”IravaaKaalam\”
When Maya was a complete out and out horror with some brilliant screenplay and best visuals of the year, Iravaakaalam\’s teaser is like a stylish statement from the writer-director Ashwin and his DoP Vijay Karthik Kannan.
The teaser itself begins with poetic visuals and the beauty of the shots increases with time and we see a playboy-like photographer and his relationships and most likely, his affair with another model.
In recent times, even the superstars Ajith and Vijay\’s movies haven\’t created expectation like SJ Surya\’s projects. On one side, horror movie \”Nenjam Marappathillai\” with ace director Selvaraghavan, Atlee\’s commercial movie \”Mersal\” with Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay, AR Murugadoss\’s Telugu thriller \”Spyder\” with Prince Magesh Babu and now, this elegantly shot \”Iravaakaalam\”.
Sshivadha Nair, who created waves in the industry with her negative portrayal in Adhe Kangal and Wamiqa Gabbi, who was praised by critics in Geethanjali Selvaraghavan\’s Maalai Nerathu Mayakkam is also part of the project and Sshvivadha, in particular, impresses with her varied array of emotions.
Ron Ethan Yohann\’s BGM in the teaser tries to tell the story on its own and Prasanna GK\’s cuts add to the exquisiteness.
To sum it all up, from the looks of the teaser, Iravaakaalam doesn\’t look like a movie but like an experience. We are desperate to watch the movie at the earliest and Ashwin Saravanan and Vijay Karthik, take a bow already!
