Livin Tamil Web Series – Episode 7 – Daddy Cool Review | Kanna Ravi, Amrutha Srinivasan, Naveen George Thomas | Madras Central | Currently Globally Web Series

Hurray!!!

Livin\’s recent episode is 20 minutes long. Praburam Vyas and the team has, at last, addressed the most important complaint on otherwise perfect Tamil web series and have provided a 20-minute long episode now.

Let\’s see was the extra time worth it!

Recap:

Harish (Kanna Ravi) is craving for some real photography chances rather than weddings and receptions. Haritha (Amrutha Srinivasan) throws a shocker that her father arrives the next day. Harish picks Haritha\’s father Vasu (Arvindh Janakiraman) on a loaned car and Harish tries to impress Haritha\’s dad by actually stalking his social media profile and trying to bring a soul-connection. Harish further takes things to another high by actually cooking Sushi for Haritha and her dad. At the end, Vidhya (Vinithra), Harish\’s sister, barges in the home and is shell-shocked to find her brother in a live-in relationship.

What we liked:

The duration of the episode. (No gifts for the guesser)

Kanna Ravi\’s very innocent portrayal of a boyfriend trying to impress his girlfriend\’s dad. In a few scenes, we could really feel sorry for his innocence and in particular, using Vasu\’s childhood name (Pattu Kunju) without regret and having an earnest face while saying that they have a soul-connection are worth a mention. Also, apologizing at midnight about his enthusiastic behavior and the end-results. Kanna Ravi rocked the episode.

Harish\’s OCD of cleanliness almost creeps out as he tries to stop Vasu walking in with slippers. but, he finally controls! Good one!

Harish seems to have secret ideas of taking this relationship to another level whereas, Haritha doesn\’t seem to be. Interesting!

Girishh Gopalakrishnan!

The climax shot. No dialogues. Nothing at all. but, 3 characters in a deeply embarrassing situation just looking at each other. Director\’s touch!

What we didn\’t like:

No Sam. It is acceptable. But, No IRIS? Damn. Not cool bro!

What happened after Sam asked, who turned on IRIS at the end of the last episode? Cliffhanger left unaddressed?

Personally, I had a huge expectation of Vidhya but, the character seems to have lesser dimensions and she doesn\’t look like a cool person Haritha mentioned earlier.

Our Verdict:

A longer than usual Livin episode with two new interesting characters. Also, backed up with naive Harish, this episode is worth watching!
