Odam.Ilavarasu, the director of Gemini Ganeshanum Suruli Raajanu has used Tamil vintage and ever memorable actor Mr. Gemini Ganesan\’s Kadhal mannan tag is used as a reference and his name is used in title card along with Suruli Rajan, Tamil veteran comedian.
Gemini Ganesan (Atharva) plays a role of playboy and he is talented in making any girl fall for him. Suruli Rajan (Soori) is included mainly to add comedy sequences which will somehow lead the story line. He has used Dhanush\’s Maari as a reference. The female leads are Regina Cassandra, Aishwarya Rajesh (Best Actress in a Supporting Role – 64th Filmfare Awards South), Pranitha, Aaditi Pohankar (stage actress in her first debut in Tamil). The scope of acting for heroines in this plot seems to be low, but their glamor appearance may play a part.
The plot of the movie as of trailer is similar to that of Vishal\’s Theeraadha Vilayattu Pillai. As a whole, this is yet another repeated attempt in Tamil cinema.
