Horror movies have been recently overused in Tamil cinema and we have had all shitty types of horror more than actual horror movies which can send a chill down your spines. Eeram, Maya, Pizza are one of the few movies that really did have an impact on the audience.
Now, we have an upcoming horror movie from a director from whom we would have never expected a movie of this genre. Selvaraghavan. And this movie is going to be amazing by the looks of the trailer.
An infidel husband (SJ Surya), living with his rich wife (Nandhitha) and a kid, has an affair with the caretaker (Regina Cassandra) and one thing leads to another and Regina cassandra loses her life and she haunts SJ Surya and what happens next seems to be the crux of the story.
SJ Surya is going to be the talk of the town once the movie releases and you will also believe the same if you have watched all the trailers including this one. The scene where he talks about his dad\’s advice while eating is one example of the same.
The music by Yuvan Shankar Raja has already released and is a rage among youngsters and especially, \”En pondati ooruku poitta\” has a bizarre music composition and attracts in a different way. All the lyrics are written by Selvaraghavan and the BGM is absolutely terrifying and intense fitting a horror movie.
Arvind Krishna\’s cinematography and usage of red color tones should give one chills and elevates the heart beats of the audience, watching the movie in dark theaters. Also, certain shots and camera angles are \”just wow\” types.
Prasanna GK\’s cuts in this trailer and the ones before have some rough edges which are intentional and keeping the suspense and horror both.
We sincerely wish such movies bring a change in upcoming filmmaker\’s mindset and work with actual horror movies or horror movies that actually can have an impact rather than horrible horror-comedies of late.
Nenjam Marappathillai is going to be released on June 30 as per Selva\’s tweet yesterday and Currently Globally wishes Selvaraghavan, SJ Surya, Yuvan Shankar Raja and the whole team for a grand success and Selva\’s comeback.
