Ashwin Thatha Official Teaser (AAA) | Simbu | Adhik | Yuvan Shankar Raja | Tamil Movie Review
When \”Trisha Illana Nayantara\” came, a larger section of people was completely against the movie which they thought, \”Culturally worse and immoral and cheap\”. However, the same folks went to the movie to see what is all the hype about and a fewer section of that whistled inside the theater for those \”cheap\” dialogues as they typed the status \”Worst movie ever. The director should be shot for such dialogues.\”.
When it was announced that the same director Adhik Ravichandran is teaming up with STR alias Simbu, the evergreen playboy of Tamil cinema, gossips started rising and when it was confirmed two beauties, Shriya and Tammanah are cast as the lead female actors, the rage increased and finally when it was announced that movie has two versions of STR, one in his late twenties and other in early sixties, people went ga-ga all over.
Tamil cinema lack such adult comedy bordering or quirky stuff and even when it comes like, Balachander\’s Kalki, they are very serious types. It shows off like we lack tolerance for a view point different from ours and so, Currently Globally welcomes such a bold move in Tamil Cinema.
Now, Ashwin Thatha teaser is out from AAA (Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangathavan). We have scenes like a sixty-year-old man trying to romance a twenty-year-old Tammanah which is only possible in Tamil cinema by Simbu and Adhik.
Simbu has put on weight and looks flabby enough for the sixty-year-old guy yet the face makeup looks dull and isn\’t convincing enough. However, his dialogues evoke laughter and also awe. The TR & STR comparison is a sure shot hit in theaters and that honesty is always missed in Tamil cinema, where we have a set rule that the lead actor should be a goody-goody guy in \”Girl issues\”. Accepting the fact that real life men aren\’t black or white but, gray and for acting in such an open-minded role, Simbu deserves the applause. However, I am sure there will be a large section of the audience against it.
Yuvan – Simbu combo is always a hit combo and this movie should follow the success of Manmadhan, Vallavan, and Silambattam.
Let\’s wait to see if Michael and Ashwin Thatha are one and the same person in theaters and we are waiting eagerly for the music to be released soon too.
