Dhanush\’s Power Paandi – Official Trailer | Tamil Movie Trailer Review
Every recent scandal aside, none can deny the fact that Dhanush is incredibly talented. Be it \”Shooting Sir\” acting in Mariyaan, \”Pirai Thedum\” lyrics in Mayakkam Enna, selection of absolutely fantastic hit movies like \”Kaaka Muttai\” and \”Naanum Rowdy than\” for production and also, \”Amma Amma\” song\’s mesmerizing singing.
Whatever this man took, he has done it to perfection or tries hard to take it to perfection. Now, he has taken up the ultimate challenge, Direction.
So, How is Power Paandi Trailer? Here is our review of the Tamil movie trailer.
Rajkiran, a sixty plus grandpa who lived life for his son and now, for his grandchildren, looks back at his life and decides to live the life for him at least once. This is what we perceive as we watch the trailer.
The Grandpa goes on a bike ride, falls in love and even twists his muscles in some action sequences and has his try in the humor department too. We all know how much Tamil cinema has wasted Rajkiran. The man stole the show in Thavamaai Thavamirunthu and he seems to have repeated the magic in Power Paandi too.
The premise looks neat and we have stellar performers in the cast including Revathi madam as the love of Power Paandi. The old age love is a beautiful feeling which is rarely looked upon in Tamil cinema. Very few movies like Vietnam Veedu and recent Kabaali dwelled on this subject.
We also have Prasanna, who is another underrated actor as the son of Power Paandi (we believe so) and Saya Singh of Thiruda Thirudi fame and also, the child actor who stole the show as young Vijay Sethupathi in Rekka as their son. (Remember beautifully sung and shot Kannamma song?)
We have Sendraayan, Rinson (popular among dance show followers) along with cameos from DD, Gautham Menon, and Madonna Sebastian.
Music is already a hit and has pleasant melodies that evoke memories and Sean Roldan\’s theme music is good and apt enough. The cinematography is splendid and Velraj has to be lauded for the flashback village scenes.
We forgot to mention that the Actor turned Director, Dhanush himself portrays as the young Power Paandi in flashback and the man would have done a fabulous job, as he always does.
Dhanush has fulfilled people\’s expectations with the trailer and we will wait if he will repeat the magic with the move.
