Web series are the current rage and Netflix popularized this amazing concept and we have had a regular stream of quality web series in English and even in Hindi these days. But, Tamil Web TV was a step behind in this particular factor.
But, those days are over and thanks to uber cool Balaji Mohan, who was one of the very few directors who initially revolutionized Tamil entertainment with this part in making quality short films. He is back with a new web series in Tamil \”As I\’m suffering from Kadhal\” and the trailer looks cool and fantastic.
This web series is written and directed by Balaji Mohan of Kadhalil Eppadi Sothappuvathu and Maari fame. It is also co-produced and written by Dhanya Balakrishna of Raja Rani fame and it also stars many youtube stars from channels like Temple Monkeys, Smile Settai and few more. Also, the web series has cameos from Andrea and Robo Shankar.
Let us be honest. Censorship is most times a pain in the a** for most creators and even some viewers like me who feels a creator\’s best comes out only with his creative freedom. Also, these tax exemption rules which insists on Tamil names for Tamil movies, being a good action with good motive, sometimes leads to makers find alternate ways like \”Mass\” becoming \”Maasu engira Maasilamani\” and \”Power Paandi\” becoming \”Pa. Paandi\”. But, web series is free from all these roundabouts and it is honest (God bless!).
The above fact is reiterated once you see this web series\’s title and also, the trailer where cuss words are used as they are in real life and also, people\’s emotions are portrayed in the way they like, in the words they like and in the attire they like.
