Madras Central\’s Livin\’ now has 10 episodes in its kitty and Vyas\’s directorial has not reduced its tempo or the feel-goodness in any of these episodes. Now, let\’s review the 10th episode of Livin\’ – \”Homecoming\”.
Recap:
Sam (Naveen George Thomas) has a fall-out with his new roomie Eddy (John Oliver) and crashes out. Harish (Kanna Ravi) isn\’t feeling well and Haritha (Amrutha Srinivasan) goes out for lit-fest. Siddharth (Abhishek) meets Harish about issues in the office. Vidhya stresses out Harish about the whole Livin\’ thing and Sam finally goes to his father\’s home and introduces his dad to IRIS.
What we liked?
Abhishek\’s soulful enjoyable performance as Siddharth and his dialogue delivery.
Sam\’s fight with his hopefully ex-roomie and the choice of words used.
Naveen\’s performance in the whole episode. From an angry young man to lost young man to a son of contrasting father.
Washed out looks maintained throughout the outdoor scenes too.
Amrutha\’s hairstyle!
What we didn\’t like?
Another shorter episode after 2 episodes of satisfying length.
Lesser screen presence for Amrutha and lesser scope for Kanna Ravi.
Our verdict:
Another good episode taking the story forward but, one might feel the usual punch is a bit less in the episode due to lack of specific directorial touch as in prior episodes.
