Despite the success of over-hyped commercial movies, Tamil cinema has always been an ardent supporter of good cinemas with a proper making and script. Take Subramaniyapuram or Uriyadi or Dhuruvangal 16, despite the least production value, these movies were celebrated by Tamil audience.
Arun Prabhu\’s Aruvi, from dream warrior pictures, is looking to hit that market and hit us hard with its different script and characterization.
The female-centric movie is already celebrated in many film festivals and critics have mentioned this is the movie to watch for in 2017. From the looks of the teaser, Aruvi looks like a life journey of a girl, who was brought up in difficult circumstances and turns out to be a rebel, at least according to the society and later on, wanted by police and captured by police for some drastic action.
Did she do the drastic act or not and if she did, why is going to be the movie\’s path from the teaser.
Bindhu Malini has a great screen presence even in the 1-minute long teaser and the final dialogue, \”Thodra pakalam\” resembles Thalaivar\’s dialogue from Thalapathy but with a lot of subtlety and a completely different persona.
We could easily see by the teaser that this isn\’t one another movie and this is a movie to watch for! Kudos the team!
