Neram – Tamil Musical Video with a Message | Eruma saani Harija | Shakti Sivamani | Currently Globally Trending
Musical videos are a rarity in Tamil Youtube community and successful and quality musical videos are even rarer. Neram by Shakti Sivamani is one among those rarities.
Neram is a beautifully shot musical video about a greater message about ill effects of smoking. This message is conveyed through the eyes of a couple madly in love with each other and after effects of the onset of Cancer to the guy.
This video has Eruma Saani fame Harija in the lead female role and she does a neat job and the fact that she is trending virally provides this musical video extra attention which the video itself actually deserves. We have Amar Ramesh as the lead male actor with smoking issues and he has done a commendable job and underplays before expressive Harija.
Now, coming to even more important aspects of the musical video, the music itself and Shakti Sivamani does a great job. I have to admit that I initially watched this video for Harija, due to her immense popularity among Facebook / Twitter crowds (Thanks to Eruma Saani) but, the song was catchy and the lyrics were even more catchy. Shakti Sivamani stands out as a composer, singer, and lyricist. And the synchronized singing with Dhinesh Nagarajan is pleasant to the ears.
Music is initially pleasant to the ears but, the jumpy tune starting which goes by with below lines attract the listeners even more and is easily hummable.

Technically, Neram has a great crew with cinematography and editing departments and the scenes in which Harija and Amar running in beach and the forest and the parallel cuts are smooth and neat for a musical video. Also, the shots are rich and the colors are captured well at most of the places. Kudos to cinematographers Darshan Ashok and Danish Mackenzie and the editor Mark.
Overall, Neram has a great message to convey and the video itself is easily likable and hummable, thanks to the whole technical crew and the actors. Currently Globally wishes the whole team for the effort and wishes for more such independent projects in Tamil Youtube community.
