Malavath Purna (aka Poorna) is an Indian girl hailing from Telangana and she was born in a tribal family and she had mountain climbing in her blood.
Her unique talent in Mountaineering was identified by Dr. R S Praveen Kumar of Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society and she was encouraged to tune her skills and she was even sent to the base camp in Ladakh and Darjeeling.
On 25th May 2014, Purna became the youngest girl to climb the Mt. Everest Summit and scale the world\’s tallest point.
Her life story is so inspiring and her determination and grit and so large that it is a must for all girls, particularly Indian girls to know her life better. In fact, every Indian should watch the life history and the struggles that a young teenager had to beat for this literal \”Himalayan Achievement\”.
