Review of Deadpool 2 Teaser Trailer 2017 | No Good Deed | Hollywood Movie Trailer Review
Superheroes, Marvel or DC, have a standard background story. They get superpowers as a result of an accident (Spiderman, Hulk) or they become one by birth (Superman, Wonderwoman) or by some ultimate motive and responsibility (Batman) and sometimes, by pure hard work and intelligence (Ironman).
But, mostly they have something in common. They are too good guys with power and uses the same to save the world. Then, there is Deadpool, who actually have the similar background story as others but with a twist, he is flawed. Sometimes, flawed to the core. He loves violence, he is sarcastic as hell and he is cool as F, never mind.
He swears continuously, he has a girlfriend, not that, \”It\’s not who we are but what we do that defines us\” type but, as cool and weird as him and he even has BDSM sex. Man, is he a superhero or what?
Deadpool was an instantaneous success and people loved this abusive and violent and completely different and grey shade of superhero and we expected more of him on-screen. But, Deadpool 2 is set to be released only in 2018. Worry not fellas, we have a trailer named \”No Good Deed\” which is in itself a satire short film.
We have Wade Wilson (Deadpool\’s alter-ego) walking across a silent street. He witnesses someone trying to mug an old man and he is furious and decides to fight against it like any superhero would do. However, he is still as Wade Wilson and so, he runs to a nearby telephone booth to change his dress and come out as evil-destructing Deadpool (wondering how we got a telephone booth in this era? he has a point to say about this too later)
But man, he takes too much time in the telephone booth as he struggles against his costume in the tiny space available. He tries hard to fit himself in the costume, but as the time passes by, he hears a gunshot and shocked, he runs faster to see the anti-climax typical in Deadpool style.
Anti-climax I mentioned is taken to next level when we see Deadpool\’s reaction and his actions. As I said, a satire short film with a story on its own. I am even sure that this trailer would not be part of the actual movie but a running gag at most superheroes who hide at the time of a crisis to don the costume they are famous for.
Also, we have Stan Lee in the trailer doing a cameo as himself, as usual. So, a complete Marvel short film is what this trailer is. I think most of us would go crazy waiting for this lovable crazy head. Marvel, if you are seeing this, at least release few more trailers like this one to keep us satisfied.
