Sachin: A Billion Dreams is a movie based on the life of a living legend Sachin Tendulkar, the cricket icon of India as well as the world. The movie comes under the genre of docudrama-biographic film. The plot picturizes the story of a 10-year-old kid watching Indias first world cup winning, his dream of holding the cup in his hands and his tough journey of achieving the historic figure in the hearts of the people all over the world.
As each and every Indian knows, Sachin is the most adored cricketer in India and the world. He is someone who stands proudly among the top best cricketers of the world. During his cricket life, he just created an era which Indians can only remember with goosebumps in their body and pride in their hearts. But in real life, he is the most down to earth person, we could ever see in our lives. The story reveals Sachin\’s passion, dedication, and hard work for fulfilling his dreams about cricket and also his personal life, which we had never known with the thread of dramatic detailing.
The movie is directed by James Erskine, a UK based writer-director, written by James Erskine and Sivakumar Ananth combines and is produced by Ravi Bhagchandka and Carnival Motion Pictures under 200 Not Out production. Released on 26 May 2017, it is simultaneously released in Hindi, Marathi, and English as well. The music of the film is composed by yet another legendary musician A R Rahman, the Oscar winner while the lyrics are written by Irshad Kamil.
The movie stars Sachin Tendulkar in lead roles and we can see Arjun Tendulkar, Anjali Tendulkar, Sara Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Harsha Bhogle, M S Dhoni, Saurav Ganguly, Yuvraj Singh, Virat Kohli, Harbhajan Singh, Kapil Dev, Amitabh Bachchan (Cameo), Amir Khan (cameo) nad many other celebrities as themselves in the casting of the movie.
The interesting facts about the movie are that the name of the movie was selected via a contest that Sachin Tendulkar had announced on Twitter and the second fact is that the film has been declared tax free in Chattisgarh, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, and Odisha.
Hindustan Times wrote in their review that the movie has \”everything\” to make its audience \”nostalgic\”. Altogether, the legendary movie about a legendary personality like Sachin Tendulkar must be called an \’Epic\’.
