Tamil movie \”Joker\”, which got national award for last year was based on the story of a man who worked hard to build a toilet at home for his wife and how this seemingly small decision sends his whole life in spiral.
Toilet – Ek Prem Kadha starring Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar seems to be a story on the same plot but, instead of a tragedy Joker was and also, a struggle against the corrupt officials, Toilet looks to make a revolution against the religious fundamentalism in some parts of India taking precedence over personal hygiene.
This movie\’s crux of story seems to be about an middle aged man who gets married with his love of life, only to hear bickering and fighting about non-existence of a toilet in the village. What does the couple do to overcome this issue and create awareness against the religious beliefs the village helds high?
Akshay Kumar as always seems to have given an earnest performance but, Bhumi Pednekar looks to be stealing the show with her versatile acting and she is already viral for her weight loss secrets and this movie will make her even more trending globally.
